In my work I want to tell stories. To translate a story to the canvas is an experience I really enjoy.
I love to create the right composition, in which the figures express the story I want them to tell.

I completed my art education at Wackers Academy in Amsterdam in June 2026. The Wackers Academy was founded with the goal of teaching students classic drawing and painting skills. Most of the focus is on drawing and painting from observation -with still life, landscape, live model, and live portrait as its main skill areas.
I gained so much from all the Wackers lessons and its teachers, but I felt I had to move away from the classic topics and from painting from observation.
In my work, I want to tell stories, just as my great examples Paula Rego, Salman Toor, and Aysen Kaptanoğlu do so masterfully. In these stories, I often reveal a darker side of life: war, violence, lies, deceit. But also the resistance against it: rebellion, courage, the refusal to stay silent or look away.
